Reconvexo is the debut work of Telma Viale, a Salvadorean singer who has found her own expression best portrayed in the poetry and rythms intrinsic to Brazilian music. The selection found in her album is an attempt to open to those less familiar with Brazilian sounds the windows that such universe has and invite them to take a glimpse... Her album is comprised of an eclectic choice of songs that deply touch her soul, almost all of them written by Brazilian composers. The record was made at Estudio Soma in Rio de Janeiro in July 2008 produced by Zeca Barros, featuring outstanding Brazilian Musicians, strong rhythms and rich melodies. Now that it is time to take the show on the road, she decided to pick New York City, where she still maintains a residence, as the launching pad for the Tour which will also involve dates in El Salvador, Brazil and Switzerland. Directed by Grammy nominated Brazilian Producer Victor Chicri (who has worked with Gal Costa, Gabriel o Pensador, Ana Carolina among others) and backed by Brazilian musicians currently living in New York, the live performances will showcase her eclectic influences, passionate vocal delivery and heartful sensibility, honed with the help of the inspiring moonlight over Geneva's Lake Leman, where she now lives. All the proceeds from both the CD and Shows will be donated to Fundación Ayúdame a Vivir, non-profit organization that raises money to fund cancer treatment for underprivileged children, more specifically leukemia.
