Terrence Cashion: Passionate about music and sound, Terrence has spent many years involved in creating and recording music. He has also spent many years working with the technical aspects of sound - digital sound synthesis, digital signal processing, audio algorithm development and research in acoustics and psychoacoustics. Terrence has composed music with a wide variety of styles. This includes electric guitar with (too much) effects processing, acoustic guitar, rock songs (Floydian), meditation music, solo piano and classical-like. He also enjoys arranging music - adding different sonic textures using synthesizers and real instruments as well as more traditional harmonic textures. After recently moving to Montreal, QC from Calgary, AB he decided to engage himself fulltime in the pursuit of his passions, particularly creating music. Terrence decided to 'follow his bliss'... ... A new recording of music created since coming to Montreal 'Renaissance' is now available. Recordings: 'Renaissance' (CD) A selection of 13 tracks from a large collection of musical ideas composed, performed and recorded during the period November 2003 to April 2005. During this time the transformation from 'artist doing other things to avoid being an artist' to 'artist being an artist' was fashioned through allowing expression of whatever musical ideas presented themselves. The result is an eclectic assortment of music that follows no defined path but rather represents the journey of 'following my bliss'. This journey is a process of uncovering the dream, that originates deep within, for which there is no explanation or reason needed to engage oneself in a passionate pursuit of turning the dream into a reality. The process is the goal â€" not the achievements or outcomes. Yet, often following the dream from a misty concept or idea to concrete result produces something that can be shared with others. I create music because I love it - perhaps there is something here you will like. If so, this is an additional reward as I have already lived my dream in the creation of the music.
