TERRION Celebrating the release of her contemporary gospel CD, 'I YIELD', this multifaceted woman keeps her Day-Timer crammed as a devoted wife, mother, music teacher, and private vocal instructor; while nurturing her flourishing music career. A refreshing attitude and joie-de-vivre are especially palpable in her vocal improvisations. Although Terrion played the clarinet in her early years, her main instrument was and still is her multi-layered voice. She has performed for record crowds in the United States and South America. Most recently, she opened for the Mighty Clouds of Joy at the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida. She has been featured at local area events such as: Annual Roots Festival (Delray Beach, FL), Mango Festival (Pompano Beach, FL), SunFest (West Palm Beach, FL), various area churches, and social events. Her vocal ability, radiant beauty and poise have awarded her the opportunity to win beauty pageants and numerous talent competitions including the coveted crown of 'Miss Florida A & M University (1987-88). Voted Female Gospel Artist of the Year at the first Palm Beach Gospel Music Awards, she is held in high regard by her peers. Terrion is a native of Daytona Beach, FL but has spent most of her life in West Palm Beach, FL. The oldest of 3 children, Terrion's earliest musical memories are hearing her parents' collections of Deniece Williams and Minnie Ripperton. The Church however, proved to be the prevailing influence. Although the youngest and the smallest in the gospel choir, when she opened her mouth to sing, it was amazing to hear such a powerful sound coming from such a small person. The same still holds true today! Her clear, lyrical voice maneuvers through three octaves as she ministers to the very heart of her audiences. Warm, gifted, electrifying, and highly trained, Terrion's anointing is evident as she performs and shares her gift. It is both extraordinary and well received by all! Says Terrion, 'I think music is a healing art. It's our first voice and one of our connections with the Holy Spirit. I love the various genres of music, but I've fallen wholeheartedly in love with gospel music! 'I YIELD'!
