Terry Charles is a veteran L.A. singer-songwriter. His two-hundred-plus song catalogue includes songs about romance, drugs, politics, death and other modern problems. With two previous record deals, one with Charlie Green's(Buffalo Springfield) Greenbottle Records and one with Roach Records and a theatrical lyric credit,(Drowning In A Sea Of Love), Charles is still looking for the right deal. His single on Roach, 'Sweet Lenora', got airplay here on KROQ and in the midwest. Playing with the Terry Charles Band, he first played commercial venues, hotels, clubs, restaurants and cafes. For the last five years, he's been playing the local popular showcases including The Troubadour, The Coconut Teaser, Club Lingerie, The Hollywood Roosevelt, The Baked Potato Hollywood, The LA Songwriter's Showcase, Ghengis Cohen, The Crooked Bar, Highland Grounds, The Moondog Cafe, Al's bar, The Cat Club and Buster's. Most recently the band played a very successful show at the world famous Viper Room. Still hungry for a good deal, Charles has put together several strong sets of commercial original songs, to play in the local showcase circuit. This year Charles released his first CD, 'Terry Charles', which combines his storytelling ballads, with some folk and country rock. Coming soon 'Vincent's Room' a double CD inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's painting, La Chambre.
