My Friend Run to the Rock
. . . ABOUT THE CD: These 10 songs were a gift from God to me. They are worship, consecration, faith and prayer. #1 'Bless Me Indeed' - This is a song about blessings lost that God is waiting to bestow on us again if we will only repent and ask. Contemporary Christian Ballad. #2 'Come On and Praise The Lord' - This is a great song to sing as you enter God's presence. Excellent at the beginning of a service or concert. Upbeat Christian Pop. #3 'I Will Wait' - I wrote this song while my husband was incapacitated from a back injury and sang it until my husband was restored. Verse 1 of this song is my favorite verse I have written. Very upbeat Contemporary Country Christian. The melody is very exciting. Catchy, Catchy, Catchy. #4 'Glorious Light' - This is a song of thanksgiving inspired during a lightning storm. Southern Gospel. #5 'Mighty God' - I heard the first 3 sentences of this song spoken by an angel: 'Bow your heard. Close your eyes. And worship the Mighty God' You will never forget this song after hearing it. The music and melody is lovely. Praise and Worship genre. #6 'Put It Under The Water' - This song will witness to the unsaved for you. Verse 2 is Peter's sermon on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2:38 of repentence, water baptism in the Name of Jesus and receiving the Holy Ghost. Upbeat Country. #7 'My Friend, Run To The Rock' - God gave me this song on Sept. 12, 2001 after I saw the great fear in many fellow Americans. This song answers the questions of fear, danger, grief and sin. Country Gospel. # 8 'This Is What To Say' - This song reminds you what to do when you face the stresses of daily life. Very catchy and worshipful. Contemporary Christian Ballad. #9 'There Is A Light' - This song is so truly Southern Gospel, overdone just right. I wrote this song about all the precious saints who have walked down this path that I am on. I can find my way down this narrow path because it is well-worn by the feet and life of the saints who have walked it before me. Southern Gospel to a T. #10 'Bring It To Me' - Beautiful, peaceful music. The lyrics have a simplicity that you won't tire of. Contemporary Christian Ballad. ***NOTE: The music on this CD is so beautiful that I have had requests from many purchasers to also buy an instrumental version of my CD. If you desire to do this, just e-mail CDBaby and they will order it from me so they can send it to you. The instrumental songs are great to listen to at your desk at work and also at night while drifting off to sleep. . . . ABOUT THE ARTIST: Terry Nunnery is an Apostolic woman who writes songs that connect the listener to their very own life experiences and circumstances. Her words and melodies are sparked from life, love, family and God. Terry grew up, and still lives, in a small town that is full of charm, friendship and simplicity. This simplicity allows her to cut to the heart of what she is conveying in her songs. No worn-out or re-used cliches are in her lyrics. The lyrics are clear, melodic and heart-touching. This prolific songwriter released her debut CD in February 2003 entitled 'My Friend, Run To The Rock'. It has been a well-received work and was co-produced by Calvin Gann of the Gann Brothers, a national southern gospel group. This album spotlights Terry's talent and ability to write in many styles: contemporary Christian, Christian pop, worship, country, southern gospel, and a flair of soul too. This accounts for the album's wide appeal among all ages. Area radio stations play her songs on their Sunday morning line-up, right alongside the 'Big Boys'. Terry is a genuine 'EveryWoman', but yet distinctive and unique herself. It is her fresh-phrasing that has a heart-impact on the listeners. Every song Terry writes points the listener to worship God. She writes of His Holiness, His Blood, the Holy Ghost, Repentance, Faith, Praise. The musicianship, vocals and mixing of her CD is top-notch. This quality sets her CD apart from others' debut work. Listen to Terry's debut CD, 'My Friend, Run To The Rock', and you'll find yourself asking when her next album will be available also. In addition to Terry, the other phenomenal singers on her CD are Andrea Harry, Starla Sewell, Christy Smith, Ernest Williams and Calvin Gann. Apostolic. Pentecostal.
