For a good time jam with That Band! That Band rocks the house with a unique mixture of red hot Blues, good ole' rock-n-roll, and sizzling surf guitar. Fast dancing, slow-dancing, or just watching the bootie shakin', That Band will make your night! It all began in 1998 at a meeting of the Circle of Confusion, a group of beer drinkers with a photography problem, where a tender young miss by the name of Emily Pearson met up with hard core rock-n-roll rebel Don McCray. Actually, it took about of year of regular photography meetings for Emily to work up the courage to talk to Don, a big, bad, biker guy who looks just like the type that your parents told you not to talk to! Emily ended up modeling for Don, and one glorious day she found out that he played guitar, too. 'Let's jam!' she said. After long, hard work, Don and Emily could play 'Who'll Stop the Rain' by CCR without at hitch, so Emily got the bright idea of putting together a band. Yeah, right, whatever, Don thought, he being a seasoned veteran of the music scene after playing in bands for over 20 years. 'Sure, knock yourself out' Don told Emily. And that started it all! Several sound systems and band names later, Don and Emily are back, being joined by Chris Pierce on drums. That Band hopes you will enjoy their first all original collection of music! ------------ DON McCRAY has been playing guitar for 37 years and has been influenced by Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Nokie Edwards, The Ventures, Dick Dale, and John Lee Hooker. He played bass for eight years and lead guitar for 10 more years with Misty Mountain, jammed with Victor Johnson, and opened for and played with The Coasters. His favorite colors are black, white, and purple, and besides playing a mean guitar Don is also an accomplished photographer. 'The Raven, nevermore,' quips Don when asked for a quote. EMILY PEARSON started teaching herself guitar at the age of 15, and now plays rhythm guitar as well as bass. Emily and Don formed their first band Fill in the Blanks in 1998. She has been inspired by Pink Floyd, Janis Joplin, AC/DC, PJ Harvey, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, and many other classic rock artists. Emily taught high school English from 2000-2002 in Latvia with the Peace Corps and lived to tell about it. Describing herself as a 'shamelessly self-promoting ambitious exhibitionist,' Emily often has dreams of grandure and delusions of glory when it comes to music, but hey, at least she's having fun! CHRIS PIERCE has played drums for 31 years and rhythm guitar for 12 years. In addition to being on the road off and on for 14 years, she played drums with George Whitlsell in 1982 and played with Rochelle Strictly Country in Missouri for nine years. She plays country, rock, blues, even marching band tunes! She has been influenced by big band drummers Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich and guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughn. A self-confessed musicaholic, Chris explains 'I live to play music.'
