Thomas la Velle
Thomas La Velle has been performing since 1984. His main influences are Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Little Richard & Jerry Lee Lewis. His other influences found on this new CD are Fat's Waller, Boogie-Woogie pioneer Clarence 'Pinetop' Smith, Meade Lux Lewis, Scott Joplin, Erskine Hawkins & Nat King Cole. This CD tips it's hat to the old gangster / flapper music of the roaring 20's, the Ragtime, Swing & Boogie-Woogie sounds of the 1930's & 40's, predating Rythmm & Blues & Rock n Roll of the 1950's. The line up includes just only Piano/Vocals by Thomas La Velle, Trumpet by Billy Joe Huels of the Dusty 45's & Vinyl Avengers, & Drums by Jacques Moitoret & Jon Henry Hansen & that's it there's no bass. Thomas La Velle loves to experiment likes to be innovative & different, so bend an ear & listen I promise you won't be disappointed, it'll make you want to Rock n Roll.
