Tim Peck is an up and coming pianist with a broad musical background. Though he was initially trained as a classical pianist, Tim started playing jazz in high school. He spent his formative years studying with Peter Cassino at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA. He then went on to Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, where he indulged his musical passions: jazz, classical, rock, and music recording and production. He also spent time writing for various ensembles, including a nonet that performed at his senior recital. This album is a creative merger of all of these diverse elements. It is representative of three months of songwriting, three months of live performances of the new material, and then a week in the studio experimenting with the many sonic possibilities presented there. The music is all new and all original. Enjoy!
