Yes There Is Hope
Tina Denise Burchette was born in Hope, AR and the eldest of three children of Fran Heyward. She matriculated in the Hope School System and later attended Southern Arkansas University where she received a Bachelors Degree in the field of Sociology. Tina was brought up in the BeBee Memorial CME Church, but became a born again Christian while attending Providence Baptist Church in Hope, AR. She was taught music by Ms. Esther Lee Hicks Wilson and Ms. Neva Carmichael for several years. During the time that she was in elementary and high school up until the present time, she developed a love for Gospel music. She subsequently worked diligently in various churches as a musician and Minister of music. Those churches include BeeBe Memorial CME Church, Providence Baptist Church, both in Hope, AR, Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church of Mandeville, AR, St. John and Coulters Chapel CME Churches of Nashville, AR. She presently holds the position of Minister of music for the Arkansas Region West District for the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. Tina's hunger and thirst for the Lord shows up in her music. She does not consider it to be just singing, but as a ministry. She does not perform, but she believes that music has the ability to soothe the soul and she tries to perfect that ministry whenever she sings.
