The CD: It was a struggle to figure out what to put on this, my debut CD. I know my Mom would love a CD of standards. Maybe next time Mom! After many sleepless nights, I decided to go back to my musical roots. Gospel music has always been a driving, positive force in my life. I also thought it was important to include positive and inspirational songs. Many people in the gay community have been wounded by the church. I hope that by listening to these songs, the wounds will begin to heal and the loneliness will begin to subside. Tom's 'Goodnight Sweet Prince' (his love song to friends who have died from AIDS), was the number one single on the Outvoice Charts in the Spring of 2000. The song was also heard on The Learning Channel's 'Slice of Life' which featured Peisha McPhee, Tom's vocal coach. The Vocalist: Tom has worked with many other performers including: Kathy Najimy, Bruce Vilanch, Peisha McPhee, Mel Dangcil, Rain Pryor, Luke Yankee, Amy Cochet, Shellee-Ann Kellee, Kelli Orlando and Michael Kearns, to name a few. In LA, he has performed at The Cinegrill, WeHo Lounge, Club Checca and Masquer's Café. In Key West, he was the headliner at The Crystal Café at La Te Da. Tom is a member of the Seattle Men's Chorus and their subgroup Captain Smartypants. "Tom's voice can be described as pure liquid silver!" - Jane Syftestad, former MCC Los Angeles Music Director "Tom has one of the most powerful voices I've ever heard" - Rev. Nancy Wilson, Moderator of the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches 'Carlisle shows his chops' - Jeremy Engel, Music Connection Magazine.
