Building on Tradition
Tom Love is a singer/songwriter based in the mountains of Western N.C. He has been performing for over 30 years and has written in the neighborhood of 500 songs. Tom likes songs that tell a story and has a unique picking style which is accomplished with a flatpick but sounds somewhat like finger picking. This is his third release, the first one of which was a gospel recording on an 8 track tape. Tom has played a variety of music in his journey through the world of music including gospel, country, blues, bluegrass, and rock. Some of his influences came from such artists as Merle Haggard, John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot, Hoyt Axton, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, and others.
