Tony Mancuso makes his home in Rochester, NY. A veteran of the Rochester blues scene, he found this genre too limiting, and has concentrated his creative efforts toward his 'NousBleux' project. His strong affinities for Blues, New-Age, and Jazz, have created an artistic conflict that he resolves in 'NousBleux'. His performing experience encompasses everything from the glitz of Las Vegas show groups, to limited Western US tours with various groups, to studio performances, and many pick-up gigs. In the studio, he has worn the hats of producer, arranger, and engineer. With the saxophone being his chosen instrument, his multiple instrumental abilities are evident in his recordings. Two tracks from NousBleux, 'PianoPeace' and 'Through the Clouds' are soon to be featured in a movie short entitled 'Allah vs. God', that will begin shooting in January of 2004. From a philosophical standpoint, he believes that music must always evoke an emotional response. 'Music without this emotional connection is like art without color.' His musical moods can be surreal, tropical, ethereal, romantic, and sensual. As one of Tony's closest female friends, I find his music accentuates my emotions and lifts my spirits. The first time I heard one of Tony's songs, I felt total freedom of spirit and soul. I invite everyone to discover the passion that is 'NousBleux'. Kristina Marie A special note. Tony contibutes $1 from each CD sale to 'Stand Up For Kids', a wonderful organization devoted to helping homeless children. There is a link on his site that will take you to their home page. He is also in the beginning stages of planning benefit concerts for this organization as well.
