Love the rhythm of Running On Empty.....The sparseness of Blue Moon....haunting. Nice Album.' Bill Wence Radio Promotions Nashville, TN An acoustic album combining a blend of folk, americana, and roots music. While listening to her music you can imagine yourself back in the old west walking into an old wooden double door saloon to listen to the singer and her story, the piano player, and the fiddle. At times you might want to roll down your windows and drive. At other times you might find yourself quiet, lured into the reflective storytelling and melodic melodies of this inspirational album, 'As an Eagle Soars.' Longing for love, yearning for the west, in search of passion and self discovery is what this album is about. 'Let the wind carry me into the sun as an eagle soars,' is a poem that has emerged from Tracy's present and past CD releases as a recording artist. Many of her songs reflect her love of the outdoors, and the mountains she fell in love with while living out west and spending time in Montana. Her music journey began in the fourth grade when she was given a recorder and the opportunity to learn an instrument. She chose the saxophone for it's soulful sound and stayed with it until her love of poetry and writing led her to the acoustic guitar. Tracy has performed at a variety of venues;festivals such as Bastille Days and Summerfest in Milwaukee, county fairs, small cafe's such as The Side Walk Cafe in New York, Cafe Lena in Saratoga Springs, and several local venues in Wisconsin and Illinois. Unpredictability is an essential part of Tracy's music. What sets her music composition apart is her eclectic style. Here musical style ranges from folk and blues to country and swing and touches on many aspects of American music in between.. Her unique vocals combined with infectious hook lines and changing musical moods will take you on a memorable journey. This is very evident in her 2003 CD release, 'Into the Sun.' She dabbles in a variety of colors and textures in her vocal approach, delivering a rough edge, or a soft vocal touch. Some of her influences are John Denver, the Eagles, Bob Seger, Allison & Krause, Sun Volt, Lucinda Williams, Joni Mitchell, Eva Cassidy, and Rickie Lee Jones. At her live performances she plays the acoustic guitar and harmonica.
