The Tribe of Judah is a band that constantly gives back to their community by playing free concerts at various parks and recreation centers found throughout the city. They have also played for many charitable events such as the 'Race for Life' put on by the National Cancer Foundation, the 'Fifteenth Annual Sunset Celebration', benefiting Father Wasson's Orphans of Haiti, the 'Open Your Eyes - Teen Festival' concerts to STOP THE HATE, and for the North County Cultural Alliance. The Tribe of Judah Anointed Reggae Band & Show was nominated for the 2002 San Diego Music Awards, World Beat division, and has been the opening act for many reggae artists from around the world. They played on the 2003 Bob Marley Day Celebration at the San Diego Sports Arena, and have opened for well known Jamaican artists such as Half Pint, Sister Carol, Don Carlos, Mutabaruka, and African reggae artist Majek Fashek. The Tribe of Judah has been the featured band at numerous cultural events at the WorldBeat Center in Balboa Park. These concert celebrations include Earth Day, Martin Luther King Day, and the Marcus Garvey Day Celebration.
