Mi Ultimo Beso
Trio Pasional consists of North American flutist, Sharon Levin, Ecuadorian guitarist, Louis Cardenas and Dominican guitarist, Luis Polanco. These dynamic performers have been entertaining audiences in the New York metropolitan area for the past 10 years. Their traditional Ecuadorian repertoire is representative of various facets of Ecuadorian sentiments and culture of many generations. The unusual meeting of these artists has led this group to a partnership of music and also environmental awareness regarding the preservation of the rain forest of South America. This trio is a living demonstration of the saying, 'music is a universal language.' Although they are of different backgrounds and cultures, they have discovered through music a natural and effortless compatibility on the concert stage. Of Trio Pasional's many performances, some of the highlights have been at Weill Reciatl Hall at Carnegie Hall, New York City; CAMI Hall, NYC; Seton Hall University, NJ; Jefferson Auditorium, Virginia, La Guardia College, NY; St. Peter's College, NJ; First Night, Summit, NJ; The Consulates of Ecuador in New York and New Jersey; The Casa de la Cultura Nucleus of NJ, The New York Ambassador's Wives Club; and The Ecuadorian/American Foundation. They have also performed on the Buque Escuela Guayas Ship when docked next to the Intrepid in NYC, and by special request performed for the 1997 Vice President of Ecuador.
