Description
When special prosecutor John Conroy (Edmond O'Brien) was charged with breaking the racket of midwestern crime boss Neil Eichelberger (Ed Begley), local reporter Jerry McKibbon (William Holden) didn't think the young lawyer was up to it. Once he discovered that Conroy's cop father (Tom Tully) was in Eichelberger's pocket, the dominoes started to fatefully fall.
