Art of Defiance
The follow-up to their previous LP \'Denying the Mass of Lies\', \'The Art of Defiance\' is the first full length album by Oklahoma metal band Two Minutes Hate. This 13 track album consists the old and new, with some songs being written two years before recording, while others written just before hitting the studio. \'Filthy Lies\', \'Ichi\', and \'M.A.D.,\' originally released on \'Denying the Mass of Lies,\' were all re-recorded or re-mixed with new vocalist Cody Burnett. -Rocket Review (from The Metal Den)- In George Orwell\'s novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, the Two Minutes Hate (alternatively two minute hate) is a daily period in which Party members of the society of Oceania must watch a film depicting The Party\'s enemies (notably Emmanuel Goldstein and his followers) and express their hatred for them and the principles of democracy. Broken Arrow, Oklahoma\'s TWO MINUTES HATE have issued a 13 song collect that is both filled with tons of hatred and depicting a perverse look inside the mind of youth gone mad. Starting off with the rampaging \'Confusion\', followed by the stirring \'Oblivion\', \'Death Of Me\', \'Ichi\' and other frenzy-filled highlights such as the gut-wrenching \'Pendulum\' from vocalist Cody Burnett, Nico Lopez on guitar, Espinales on bass guitar, and the perfect death-style pummeling from drummer Ryan Rase. Any fan of hardcore fused with a more visceral, edgier and progressive metal sound ala say Coal Chamber or Nothingface will seriously dig this disc from start to finish.
