From listening to the way this trio rhymes with so much versatility, switching up flows to accommodate each track pitched their way, you catch yourself questioning if they are truly from the Midwest. With successors such as Nelly, Chingy, and Tech N9ne, it's amazing to see how these youngsters manage to mold their own style and image. Each raised in Kansas City, KS the group began it's quest for fame as one entity in the fall of 1996.Although Mike 'CORLEONE' Watson, and Chris 'KRYSTYLE DA KID' Dunlap have been knowing one another since kindergarten, it was not until 96' that they found Paul 'THA DUBNESS'(P-DUB) Jones. And it was like the formation or H20, CO2 and nitrogen, creating musical life. Since then the group has worked on projects such as RES (ILLUSIONS), THE ASSOCIATES, UNDERGROUND HITTAZ VOL. 2, and the highly anticipated Typsi.... THE ALBUM available now. Borrowing from the philosophical teachings of the late BRUCE LEE, Typsi has no explanation of their style other then to view it as water, formless but devastating, it is soft enough to take on the form of any container, yet it also contains enough force to crush even the most well constructed structures. Commenting on the album Mike 'CORLEONE' Watson' lends 'The pains of life and scars of reality, have ignited a lyrical fire within us that will never burn out but be spread to the masses like wildfire.' Chris 'KRYSTYLE DA KID' Dunlap adds 'this album is a near masterpiece, it contains all the essential elements of hotness, it touches on every issue from relationships, to global conflicts and racism. Not to take away from the party influenced cuts like the first single 'STAND UP' and the southern rhythmic 'WILD OUT', but this is a very substance filled offering to hip hop heads all over, it is just good music When I think of Typsi... THE ALBUM, the best way for me to describe it is that it is similar to the 'RED PILL' in the MATRIX. Most people who buy this album are going to be searching for something different, and looking for something real, only to find that it is a shock to the system, however once they adjust they will find out that there is no other way to go, and they will in return be thankful that we have given them the truth.' PAUL' THA DUBNESS'JONES. If you have been yearning for a change of pace from the current state of hip hop, then you want to check out the Typsi...THE ALBUM.
