Tyrone Gibson Sr., this CD is a debut of his musical talent. He is a talented keyboardist with a jazz background and self taught musician. This album represents his first attempt as a solo jazz artist. Pure instrumental music that is sure to be a party favorite. Born in St. Louis Mo. 1953, this father of 5 started at the age of 9 playing the keyboard. A self taught musician with natural talent for the keys. While hanging out in the Pruitt & Igo projects during the early seventies he met Phil Perry. Phil was the lead singer for the Montclairs at the time. While coming off the elevator he heard 3 young kids harmonizing in the lobby area and one 19 year old kid named Tyrone caught his attention. This chance meeting led to him recording his first tune at the age of 19 with producer Oliver Sain of the Montclairs. The first song was titled Dreamin out of Season on Polygram Records. This lead to a tour and allowed him the ability to travel. During this time Tyrone joined the Army National Guard and due to the nature of his recording success he was allowed to tour with the Montclairs. Before the age of 21 he had traveled all over the world and gained invaluable experience and after a brief tour of duty in which he got injured he was honorably discharged and relocated to South Los Angeles in 1976. At 21 he began working in local club venues playing piano at places such as the Balboa Theater, The Lighthouse and Others. Now he has re-emerged with a brand new Contemporary Jazz CD that is sure to keep true jazz lovers tuned in. His Style is complimentary to artists such as Miles Davis, Grover Washington and Lou Rawls.
