Product Notes

The Velox Brothers are a swing/blues combo based around the smooth, relaxed baritone and swinging bass lines of James Cameron Having been a founder member of the group James continues to invite top class musicians to make up the combo to suit the concerts, festivals, corporate and private gigs they perform at around central New Zealand. Their repertoire is borrowed from Sinatra, Bennett, Nat King Cole with songs from Cole Porter, The Gershwins and other jazz standards. More recently they are beginning to introduce more original material to the mix. Depending on the occasion and availability James uses the following Musicians on a regular basis:- • James Illingworth (Piano) A graduate from The Jazz Conservatorium James's solos are a joy to experience. He plays with a wonderful energy which is matched only by his technical skill. James has recorded both in NZ & overseas. • Reuben Bradley (Drums) A Jazz Conservatoruim graduate Reuben swings with wonderful energy. Always such a positive force to play with he is able to communicate real joy while swinging the VB's along in style.
