Formed in the Summer of 2006, Velveteen Robot can be summed up as 80's New Wave meeting 90's alt rock with strong emphasis on memorable hooks and dynamic song-writing. With Kirk Nebel on vocals/guitar, Vince Milanov on drums, and Dan DeSantis completing the band on bass/vocals, Velveteen Robot is known for an explosive live show with layered sonic textures and vocal harmonies. Velveteen Robot has had several songs licensed for use in TV/Film, including the 2009 Independent Film 'Come Together'. They've performed over 100 live shows over the last two years on the West Coast alone. Kirk Nebel, originally from Portland OR, has had songs cut for major TV commercials including Victoria's Secret. Vince Milanov comes from Bulgaria where he had a hit with his previous group Millennium. Their song "For Always" spent 8+ weeks at the NO.1 spot on the European Billboard charts. Dan DeSantis, joined Velveteen Robot after moving to LA from Pittsburgh PA, where we was the guitarist for bands CBJ and The Deviant Minds, both of which garnered heavy radio airplay. CBJ was a finalist on the 2004 Zippo Hot Tour. 2008-2009 looks bright for Velveteen Robot as they will release their 2nd album and continue to perform all over southern California.
