Designed as an immersion in the chamber music of Gabriel Fauré, the double album recorded by pianist Simon Zaoui surrounded by Pierre Fouchenneret on violin, Raphael Merlin on cello and tenor David Lefort, unveils the arcana of the late style of the composer French. Of a Mysterious density, sometimes perceived as hermetic at the end of his life, Fauré's scores retain all the charm of his youthful works with a more direct melodic genius. - If Fauré knows the German composers, his expression is of a different nature.
