Paul Ben-Haim (1897 - 1984) is the most important composer in the young history of Israel' classical musik field. Originally born in Germany, raised and studied in Germany, he had to leave Germany 1933, went to Israel and participated in building the basis for the musical education and musical life. All the works on this album are from the period ranging from 1945 to 1956. Ben-Haim soon found a personal style that would mark an entire generation of younger musicians in Israel.
