Abby is the proud manager of a historic inn located in scenic Brook's Point Harbor. The inn has seen better days, desperately needing major renovations, from upgrading the rooms to revamping the menu in the dining room. Luckily, the By the Bay Food Festival is approaching, which has a prestigious cooking contest. The winner of the contest not only gets notoriety and bragging rights but also a hefty cash prize. Winning that contest would help the inn tremendously. Abby's interested in entering, but she's a disaster in the kitchen. She knows she can't win a cooking contest without some help. Jason is a renowned chef who was recently ousted from his family-run food company after being involved in a cooking competition cheating scandal. Looking to get some distance, Jason heads out of town for some R&R and ends up at Abby's Inn. Fate has brought Abby and Jason together at the right time. Soon a plan is put into motion for Jason to teach Abby how to cook. Though they have different styles and sometimes butt heads, Jason sees a real creative spirit in her.
