Claudia Beck is a classically trained soprano. She sings beautiful, haunting Irish, English, Scottish and American ballads with sweet bell like clarity. These lyrical melodies are set to lush contemporary arrangements. She has studied under performers with the New York City Opera and the Metropolitan Opera Studio. She has performed numerous recitals, concerts and also performed with various regional opera companies. Tracks from Claudia Beck's CD 'Nightingale' have been featured on at least 35 Public Radio stations in major cities all over the United States. At least one track was syndicated to over 200 NPR staions. Her CD has been featured on Radio Fedra which broadcasts in three European countries as well. She has been invited on several radio stations as a guest and on January 29, 2006 appeared on WLRN in Miami, Florida. The WLRN host: Michael Stock, commented that he really liked how her CD mixed genres and that her versions of these traditional songs were very ethereal and entirely unique. He also commented that she brought a new perspective and feeling to the traditional ballads performed on her CD.
