High Five was formed in the fall of 2000 by a group of avid barbershop singers looking for a musical change. Joe Mannherz, our tenor and arranger had been dreaming of this for many years before it occurred to the rest of us that there was other a cappella music out there. In the summer of 2001 we embarked on the recording of our first CD, Moondance. The recording, engineering and production was completed in March 2002, just in time to carry with us to the East Coast Harmony Sweepstakes competition sponsored by the Contemporary A Cappella Society. The CD's title cut won best arrangement that evening.
