Holly and Jake are traditional celtic and old time musicians who have performed at Rennaissance festivals and locally in the Denver Colorado USA area. Holly plays the Hammered Dulcimer, a many stringed instrument that is struck with light wooden hammers. The concept of the hammered dulcimer was tried nearly five thousand years ago. It was introduced to Europe from the Middle East after the Crusades and first arrived in America in the early 17th century. Holly also plays the Mountain Dulcimer which is a small four stringed instrument held on the lap and strummed. Jake plays the Bouzouki, Mandolin, Guitar and Bass. The Bouzouki is an eight stringed instrument that is played like a mandolin but is one octave lower.
