Josie Bailey is a professional storyteller whose spirited, animated performances have captivated audiences all across the Southeast. A native of Georgia, Josie graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in social welfare. She began storytelling as a volunteer project in her son's school, and soon her love of reading and passion for preserving the oral traditions of the past blossomed into a full-time career. Josie has been called a phenomenal and creative entertainer, and has been commissioned to perform by the APEX Museum, Kennesaw State University, the Department of Family and Children's Services, Imagine It! The Children's Museum of Atlanta, the Carter Center and a host of other organizations. She is also a frequent and well-received guest at schools, community programs and storytelling festivals.
