Ken Koenig has been performing as a guitarist, singer/songwriter for about twenty years Now. Ken began his live performances as a guitarist for Elvis impersonator, Ron Friel, and eventually began writing his own music. Afew years later, he formed the band Daze of Green which gained some national recognition with airplay in both New York and Colorado; was voted best singer/songwriter for Kid Antrim Records and has been spotlighted on local television programs such as KXTV Channel 10's Sacramento & Co. Daze of Green was also voted as one of Sacramento's top five bands in a contest to open for the renowned Dave Matthews Band. Ken has worked on several projects and with some of Sacramento's best including Jerry Jennings and the late Eric Klevin. Ken\'s New band, \'Ken Koenig and the Band\', is comprised of first-class musicians. Ken\'s back-up band is Jeff Tuttle (drums/harmony), Paul Hawley (bass), Jerry Jennings (guitar), and Steve Del Rio (percussion)and Newly added, Tim Morse (Keys). With inspirations from legends such as Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Brian Wilson and Neil Finn, Ken's style is all his own. His songs are a great mix of Rock, Blues, Pop, Folk, Bluegrass, and even a little old Country; something for every ear. Ken has just released his first album as a solo artist called "Bring It Home". Ken wrote and produced the album with some assistance from fellow Artist Jerry Jennings. The album is filled with songs that groove and songs that soothe. Definitely a variety of sounds in each song. Ken does 2 great covers of Marty Robins \'Singing The Blues\' and The Beach Boys obsure \'I\'d Love Just Once o See You\'. You can expect to hear great music from Ken for years to come. Coming Spring 2009, Ken will be releaseing \'Yesterdaze News\' a collection of songs he had recorded during his time with \'Daze Of Green\'. This will be a 16 song CD that spans from 1995-2003. A Must for Ken Koenig fans!
