Classical music has always been one of my greatest loves, though Rock and Latin are high on that list too. Though I was never deeply into jazz, a lot of my music finds it's way into that element. In fact this CD is essentially jazz, but, as the title suggests, a loose translation of it. It has many different elements that add interest and variety, all in an easy-listening atmosphere. It runs the gamut--from the Serengeti plain to 17th Century opera; from a sea voyage to the simple things at home. Song #11 - 'Intorno All'Idol Mio' is the one piece that is not mine, but I couldn't resist including it. It's a song from the opera Orontea, written in the year 1649 by Marco A Cesti, an Italian monk - an unlikely piece for any collection of modern music, but hopefully it will pleasantly surprise you.
