This album is an effort to compose new tunes in the straight ahead jazz standards style. These tunes were composed by myself, Larry Danza and Gerardo Colon. The album was recorded live and with very little overdubbing. The members of this band were all U.S. Army Band members, and we were all stationed together at Fort Drum, NY. This small jazz group entertained many audiences throughout upstate NY for many years. This album is in remembrance of Lawrence Julian Danza, a great jazz pianist and father who spent over 50 years of his life entertaining jazz fans.
