Product Notes
Brave Wave is thrilled to unveil the Gimmick! Official Arranged Soundtrack, a new album celebrating the beloved SUNSOFT Famicom classic. Produced in collaboration with SUNSOFT and Black Screen Records, this new release will be available on CD, vinyl, and all major digital platforms, including Bandcamp, Spotify, and Apple Music. This album marks a significant return for Gimmick! And serves as the debut entry in Brave Wave's brand-new Perspective Series, a lineup of brand-new arranged music albums reimagining timeless soundtracks. Masashi Kageyama, the original composer of Gimmick!, revisits and reimagines eight tracks from the legendary 1992 game for the first time in over three decades. In addition to Kageyama's stunning contributions, the album features arrangements from an all-star lineup of composers, including Manami Matsumae (Mega Man), Harumi Fujita (Tomba!), Takahiro Izutani (Metal Gear Solid, Bayonetta), Tee Lopes (Sonic Mania), and Brave Wave's in-house rock band Super Strikers. The album cover is designed by acclaimed manga artist Hitoshi Ariga, known for his works on Mega Man and Pokémon, among other franchises. Fans purchasing the CD and vinyl editions will enjoy exclusive liner notes from Kageyama, offering a rare glimpse into the creation of the original Gimmick! #soundtrack in the early '90s and the inspiration behind the album's new arrangements.
