PHONOGENIX, led by Haruhiko Tsuda, guitarist of the legendary 80's Japanese progressive rock band Shingetsu, released their memorable '05 debut 'METAGAIA' under the band name, which is now out of print and has long been difficult to find.

An impressive instrumental work with a magnificent sound and nostalgic waves of sound that resonate in the heart, it is a shining piece with a Mike Oldfield-like sound at first listen, but with a somewhat Japanese sense of melody and a theme with a hint of ancient Japanese ethnic sensibilities.
