Originally recorded in the early '80s featuring the cream of L.A. session players, as well as a number of New Orleans natives. Ronnie Barron has always been one of the great unsung New Orleans Piano legends. He produced Dr. John's first album "Gris Gris". He also played piano on the original Dr. John albums "Sun, Moon and Herbs", 'Gumbo', 'Hollywood Be Thy Name' as well as 'Gris Gris'. It is said Ronnie Barron is the missing link from the legendary black piano players - Professor Longhair, James Booker etc. - to the white players such as Dr. John.
